   He is an extremely professional and polite individual. I called him 3 weeks before we planned on going in January and the next day he had a full days itinerary planned out for us. 3. I found Simon’s site by recommendation and had an amazing time during our tour. Simon is very compitent, polite, reliable and accomidating, not to mention an expert driver on Beijing roads. In the time we had, we went to Mutianyu Great Wall, Olympic Park, had amazing Peking Duck, did some shopping at Silk Market and saw Tianmen Square.
   With Simon you get a knowledgable native Beijiner tour guide who speaks fluent English.
   I would recommend his services to any visitor who is looking a private tour around Beijing attractions.

4. In the fall of 2012 Simon took myself and two friends to see the Great Wall at Mutianyu. He was great at communicating the plans in advance via email and promptly picked us up at our hotel in Beijing. He is an excellent driver with a nice modern car. He was extremely friendly and knowledgable and spoke very good English. He even made reservations for us at a good restaurant on our request.

   I would highly recommend him and will absolutely use him during my next trip to Beijing.

5. Me and two friends had one day to spend in Beijing back in September (2012) and wanted to fit as much into the day as possible. I heard about Simon and emailed him to see if he was available to hire for the day. He was quick to respond, informing us of costs and advising on the itinerary for the day based on what we wanted to see.

   On the actual day, he was punctual to arrive at our hotel. Simon was very easy going, friendly and well-spoken in English. Simon’s driving was good and his car was safe. Simon would advise us where to meet him when we had finished attractions (if the entrance and exit points were different) and would always be where he said he would be.
   We ran a little over on time and as Simon had no prior engagements, he was happy to extend his hire period with us (very reasonable additional cost).

   Having hired a private driver, we were able to see all we wanted in the one day and did not have to worry about waiting for people (as you would with a coach organised tour). Needless to say, I would happily use Simon’s services again and would definitely recommend hiring Simon as a driver when in Beijing.

6. We used simon’s services in the summer of 2012. We had an excellent trip to the Great Wall and to the summer palace. Simon picked us up at our hotel, and everything was perfect after that. He told us everything we needed to know and helped us with the tickets.

   I would definitely use Simon’s services again when I’m in Beijing.

8. “simon xiao – car service to Jinshanling”

   My friend and I hiked on this part of the Wall in July 2012. It was worth the extra time driving out there to be away from the crowds at Badaling. There were very few other tourists around and at times we had entire portions of the wall all to ourselves. The views of the wall and neighboring mountains were spectacular.

   We hired a driver named Simon Xiao to drive us out to Jinshanling. He picked us up at hour hotel in Beijing in his Skoda. Very nice car, very comfortable and convenient ride. It took about 90 mins to get out to the Wall. After we hiked for about 5 hours, Simon was waiting for us to take us back to Beijing.
   I highly recommend using him, Simon is very knowledgeable and speaks good English.

9. I had long wanted to visit The Great Wall & we had a great day thanks to Simon. He efficiently communicated by email, spoke very good english (the best we came across in China, having worked in an upscale hotel in Beijing) & drove expertly. Simon collected us & dropped us back at our hotel (The Fairmont) and drove us to The Great wall at Mutianyu where he came with us to buy tickets (toboggan down – it’s great fun!) & waited for 3 hours while we walked The Wall. We booked him for 8 hours & he was very flexible, taking us by request to The Pearl Market on the way back. A really nice man.

10. We were in Beijing in mid-may 2012 and booked Simon for 2 tours.

    On day one, we went to The Great Wall (Mutianyu). Simon arrived at our hotel precisely on time and from the moment we met him, we knew we were in good hands!
    Simon is such a warm, friendly, helpful & enthusiastic man – and guide Simon advised us on getting up to and down from The Great Wall (cable car/toboggan), provided us with complimentary bottles of water (so appreciated) and even joined us briefly at Watch Tower 6 to give us a hands-on history lesson about the Wall’s construction etc. Top!
    After we had finished our 3 hour walk of The Great Wall, Simon took us to an amazing restaurant where we had the best fish we’ve ever tasted & which we caught ourselves

    For day two, simon has give us a great city tour drove us 8 hours trough
    Beijing to give us a great tour And once again (on Simon’s advice) we had one of the best meals of our entire trip at great restaurant. Simply delicious! If you are going to Beijing and planning to do any tours, you should (no… MUST) contact Simon Xiao to be your guide.
    Nowhere else will you find such a unique, professional and enjoyable experience. You won’t be disappointed!
